SYNOPSIS
Shilajit is a rock star. He has a big car. So we get into that car and make him drive it back to the village he came from. On the way, we figure out more about the man. We listen to songs. We sing together. We are friends, out for a drive. Looking for noise. For Shilajit loves noise. He likes to play around with noise, and squeeze some music out of it. He is the ultimate urban sound master, who is at home with ambient sound.
Bengal is not the best place for an experiment. Bengalis are not the most conducive to change. But Shilajit desperately wants it. Armed with black humour and a claw for a pen, he writes songs that scorn the system and the general ennui. He has the freshness of a young poet, and the wisdom of a hardnosed businessman. He has seen it all. And yet, he continues to think in this weird way.
The music labels could not label his music. He broke genres and traditions. On the way, he picked up thousands of fans. He still fights with his father like a teenager. He is often overwhelmed by the talent of his ten-year old son. Under a bridge, over the fields, trapped in a traffic jam, jamming with a fire, Shilajit sings on. The film is a tribute to his wild rhythm
